One of the world’s largest carriers, Delta Airlines maintains a fleet of more than 1,000 aircraft. The company operates 6,500+ domestic and international flights each day.

Our relationship with this airline began when they merged with another air carrier that had already been using OMS for aircraft routing. Shortly after the merger, SOC operations managers from the absorbed carrier began asking for the software they had previously depended on. Before long, all operations managers wanted it. Additionally, maintenance planners saw the software in use and requested access for better scheduling.

OMS quickly became an indispensable tool for monitoring, notification, and problem-solving for operations teams. It also served as a bridge for forecasting and communication.

Starting with the original contract from the absorbed carrier, our relationship with Delta Airlines stretches back more than 25 years. Several years ago, the company migrated from OMS Version 3 to the improved Version 5. The system has been expanded to add significant functionality for crews, allowing them to generate data and displays for crew turns, aircraft routing, and alerts.

Additionally, OMS is being used to review and commit to solutions being generated from internal software tools. This carrier has already moved maintenance planning for line and cabin tasks so they can be viewed and scheduled through OMS, and are in the process of implementing hangar planning in 2023.

Delta Airlines teams rely on our platform as an interface for receiving, evaluating, and implementing solutions as part of their optimization engine.
