Mission
At SSI, our goal is simple: to provide air carriers with the all-in-one, integrated software they need to keep operations running smoothly. We have done it for 30+ years with the industry’s most dependable scheduling and forecasting application.
Vision
Although we became the leader in airline operations software long ago, we are continually looking for improvements you can use in the real world. Our development team is constantly testing new ways to manage aircraft, personnel, and other assets more effectively.
How SSI Got Off the Ground
Our story begins in 1980 at the cutting-edge Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Transportation Lab. A study of recurring problems within the aviation community led to a need for better computing modeling and algorithm development. Not long after, Scheduling Systems, Inc. began completing projects for NASA, air traffic controllers, and regional airports. Eventually, we developed logistics software made specifically for the airline industry.
Today, SSI continues in the spirit of innovation and service that first drove global air carriers to implement our software more than 30 years ago. By bringing together the industry’s best minds and tools, we are constantly searching for ways to improve data analysis and forecasting. When you need software that works as advertised, our product is the clear choice.
We Built the Software That Powers Aviation
The best-known air carriers use our Operations Management System (OMS) platform to move people and products every day. Our comprehensive system allows teams to monitor factors like aircraft maintenance, crew schedules, payloads, and even weather in real time. The result is a better perspective on current conditions and the ability to look ahead to bottlenecks, delays, or “what if” scenarios.
