OMS Questions
What does OMS stand for? And what does it do?
OMS is short for Operations Management System. It gives users a real-time interface they can use to view data related to aircraft, schedules, crews, and more. It also allows them to make dynamic changes based on weather, maintenance, and other factors.
How does OMS improve efficiency?
OMS promotes better decision making. Improved access to dynamic data, displayed in a way that puts relevant information in an easy-to-use graphical interface, gives users the information needed to make the best decision for the operation. The result is a platform that lets you see what is happening in real time and make the changes needed to get people, aircraft, and crews exactly where they need to be.
What operating system does SSI require?
Our software is designed for maximum flexibility. It can function alongside Windows, Linux, or virtually any other OS available.
Will SSI function with our existing software?
Absolutely. Our tools are meant to integrate seamlessly into your business. In addition to being compatible with multiple operating systems, OMS can be used alongside your proprietary applications.
Can OMS dashboards and displays be customized?
Yes. It is entirely up to you to decide which pieces of information are most relevant to your role and objectives. Additionally, users can share reports, schedules, and other outputs with each other within the OMS platform.
Could you explain OMS “what if” features?
You can use our platform to explore a variety of potential scenarios (for example, possible weather delays or crew schedule changes). Then, you can create tentative plans to shift assets to minimize disruptions. You could even let different departments create contingency plans together. Once schedules have been altered you can save the plans, publish them, or even share them with other departments for future use and/or input.
